Let the partying continue!

Sophie's actual birthday was chalk-full of fun!  She woke up to our new tradition of streamering her bedroom door that she has to break through (thankfully Jens crawled under it to come and wake us up) and then I made the traditional chocolate chip and sprinkles mickey mouse pancakes for breakfast. :)  This particular morning Daddy had to go to work early for a meeting so instead of making the poor girl wait ALL DAY to open her presents Jens and I gave her one to open to make it through the rest of the day. :)

this picture was mid-jump- isn't her bedhead awesome?

Still waking up

 HUGS :)
The two little munchins watched Cinderella while I finished getting ready for the day and then we headed out for some last minute christmas shopping followed by lunch at a hot dog joint (birthday girl's request), and then off to Sophie's preschool christmas party at Classics (a fun center with roller skating, laser tag, and bounce houses/games galore!).  The kids were wiped out after the party so I had them go lay down while I got dinner started.  Jens decided he didn't want to sleep so he entertained himself with his blocks while we waited for Sophie to wake up and Daddy to come home.

When Daddy finally returned home, the birthday girl was still asleep so we all went in to wake her up, thankfully she didn't get too upset with us for disturbing her beauty rest.

Daddy had brought her a surprise- flowers!  This has turned into a tradition, she ALWAYS wants to buy flowers when we are at the store so whenever there is an opportunity to get her some her Daddy always comes through. :) We love that Sophie is a girly girl and is smitten by all things romantic- flowers, lace, bows, the color PINK etc.

Sophie, thank you for continuing to be the best daughter for our family. We appreciate all the hard work you do- teaching us ballet moves, making sure we always have our seat belts on, doing Mami and Jens's hair, teaching us YOUR spanish words like "sicierta" (means puppy ) and "pushkinka" (means baby) ;), and still being the little mother to Jens.  You love learning and especially love to read and have craft time.  You are kind and sensitive to others feelings and always making room for one more friend yet you also are the diva: a leader, stubborn, strong, and determined to have your way.  Thank you for providing us with hours of entertainment with your singing, story telling, and silly faces.  We love you!
